About Dr. Halasan
Dr. Karen C. Halasan is a Board Certified Physician who specializes in pulmonary medicine and Critical Care Medicine. At Northeastern Pulmonary Associates, she and her fellow physicians and staff serve the residents of the Northeastern part of Connecticut.
After completing her residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut in Internal Medicine and Primary Care Dr. Halasan completed fellowships including in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. These fellowships were at Georgia Health Sciences University.
Dr. Halasan is also an accomplished Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Quinnipiac University. She is involved in educating medical residents, as well as, medical students at Manchester Memorial Hospital and Rockville General Hospital. Dr. Halasan has had involvement in various presentations and research during her training and has been amongst the top graduates from her medical school. She has been an active volunteer in taking care of patients who have been under insured in Connecticut
She speaks English, Filipino and Cebuano languages. She continues to remain involved in the community activities and volunteers for various causes on a regular basis. She is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and also member of American College of Physicians.
